In the annals of modular construction history, 2019 marked a pivotal year, catapulting the industry to new heights—literally. Bouygues Batiment International proudly announced the completion of the world's tallest modular building, the Clement Canopy towers in Singapore.

Soaring to an impressive 40 stories, the Clement Canopy stands as a testament to the ingenuity of modular construction. Nestled in the heart of a vibrant residential and student district in Singapore, this housing project comprises two towers, each measuring an astounding 459 feet—the tallest ever built using modular concrete.

Crafted from 1,899 meticulously manufactured modules, the Clement Canopy houses 505 luxury residential apartments. What makes this feat even more remarkable is that the majority of the construction was carried out off-site, requiring a seamless on-site assembly that merged technical, digital, and aesthetic expertise.

The decision to embark on the modular construction challenge stemmed from recognizing its myriad benefits. By industrializing and constructing 50% of the project offsite, the team effectively mitigated delays caused by adverse on-site weather conditions. Each module underwent stringent quality control measures, allowing for the management of treatments and defects before handover. Notably, the team estimated that on-site waste could be reduced by a staggering 70% using this method.

Fast forward to the present, and Canada is poised to embrace the modular construction wave with the impending opening of Trullii Modular Home Systems' revolutionary fully automated factory, appropriately named Trullii Genesis. While not vying for the same towering heights as the Clement Canopy, Trullii Towers will proudly stand at 12 stories, each building housing 200 two-bedroom apartments.

The choice of the name "Trullii Genesis" is no mere coincidence but a deliberate nod to the pioneering nature of this endeavor. Unlike any other factory worldwide, Trullii Genesis stands as the genesis of a new era in construction. It heralds a transformative shift, as every unit produced within its automated environment is not just a modular component but a plug-and-play masterpiece—ready for immediate occupancy upon installation at the designated site.

What lessons can be gleaned from the Clement Canopy project? The resounding message is clear: Modular construction is the way forward in the 21st century. Beyond reducing waste and minimizing delays, the method offers strict quality control measures, ensuring that 99% of units are move-in ready the moment they arrive on-site.

As Trullii Modular Home Systems ushers in a new era with Trullii Genesis, the blueprint set by the Clement Canopy serves as a guiding light. Modular construction is not just a trend; it's a transformative approach that aligns seamlessly with the demands of contemporary building—efficient, sustainable, and ready to redefine how we construct the cities of tomorrow.
